History of the Band
The Caribbean All Stars Steel Band was formed by Farai Masaisai an Attorney-at-Law. He perfected the exotic art of the steel drums while simultaneously reading law for five years in London.
The band was formed in 2004 and has always been a family band. The original quartet was made up of Farai, his brother Tafara, his uncle John and his cousin Sanchia.
The Caribbean All Stars have grown a lot since then and are now made up of over 20 specialist, professional steel drum musicians, performing throughout the UK, Europe and the Caribbean.
We all share the same ethos of spreading the joy of this unique instrument, which symbolises the determination and bond of a people surrounded by sand and sea in the Sweet, Tropical islands of Trinidad and Tobago.
